Origin Story

In the spring of 2022, on a quiet morning run through her neighborhood, Pasang paused, just for a moment, beneath a canopy of trees alive with birdsong. A flash of feathers caught her eye, and without meaning to, she stood still. That pause turned into a ritual. Morning runs became moments of quiet wonder.

What began as casual curiosity blossomed into devotion. She joined local birding groups, dove into weekly nesting surveys, and chased migrations from the forests of Chicago to the parks of NYC, the humid canopies of Panama, and the diverse ecosystems of Texas. In birding, Pasang found a serenity she hadn’t known she needed—a sense of stillness, of spirituality, of awe. And she found community: seasoned birders, beginners with borrowed scopes, quiet nods exchanged on trails across time zones.

But there was always one friction point. On those early morning jogs, when the birds called from branches above, she longed to see them up close, without hauling bulky gear. She needed binoculars that matched her lifestyle. Something that could slip into a running pouch, not slow her stride.

That longing gave birth to TriloBino.

In the summer of 2025, at The Ion, Rice University’s innovation hub in Houston, Pasang turned her vision into reality. What started as a personal need became a compact, premium binocular crafted for those who run, hike, and live life on the move, but never want to miss a moment of nature’s quiet magic.

TriloBino isn’t just gear. It’s a bridge between motion and stillness, between the runner and the watcher, between the everyday and the extraordinary.
